Have been a fan of PPL since my twenties. To me that over 30yrs of great music. I have a dj friend at a local station that is responsible for keeping their music alive for us, God Bless him for educatin' the ignorant! They are about to get blown away in Plano tomorrow! I wished I could have seen them when Michael was still with us. I so look forward to the show. God's garces to his family and friends. Scott

Well, Dirty, Here we are again, another year. This would be yer 60th, a formidable number. Guess what? Middle age is NOT all it's cracked up to be! You're thought of often, and doubly missed, my friend. Do they have birthday parties in Heaven?
- Mr. Dirt

Thoughts: I got my first guitar at about 8yrs., slept with it like a teddy bear.In high school I head PPL the first time, and I knew THIS was the kind of music I wanted to play and at 54yrs. still do. I still love it when "Amy" is played on the oldies station,it still makes me smile as I sing harmony- I'm a Prairie Dog for life!
- DONNIE DUNN

I attended a PPL show at the Old Waldorf in San Francisco in 1980. They opened for Jerry Jeff Walker. It was dream pairing! After the PPL sets I saw Mike in the bar, and I decided to say hello. We ended up talking for several minutes. I was a big PPL fan, and he filled me in on a lot of what they'd been up to. He really knew how to relate to his fans! It was a very memorable experience for me! I'm sorry to hear of his passing. The JJW sets were incredible too....
- Keith Conant

Thoughts: As a pro keyboardist currently with The Bellamy Brothers ..I attribute many of my licks to Mike ...I just found out about his passing ..fitingly enough waiting to go onstage at The Grand Ol Opry ..I was chatting with Stick Davis .. and he told me of Mikes passing , and I was floored ..The world has lost a great musician, and a great person ...To Mikes Family ...God Bless ,,And I'm sorry for your Loss ....your friend ..and longtime prairie dog Frank Swiech

I was very young when I started to listen to PPL music. And now, "some" years after, I keep on listening to it. I just have known Michael's passing. I'm very sad. I'm looking at the photo on Firin' up album. I just can't believe it!
- José Díez

Long time passin by, I caught Mikes eye. I was only 17. Bad timing had it his Dad had just passed in Ohio. My Mom moved me far away before he could return to find me...I'd listen to his songs and cry myself to sleep playin my guitar. Always will miss you, my friend. So sorry for your families loss...Elle
- Ellen Stevenson

Actually this is really sad I have just been introduced to this band's music by an American friend Octavio. I downloaded the video of Aime this evening to learn it and the last chord escaped me - some sort of ascending sus4 I think - anyway I downloaded the tab to get the chord but got the sad news that the piano player has died instead. Maybe this is an appropriate epitaph that I was learning what to me is a new song albeit in a style I recall very much. My thanks and best wishes for Michael Connor's family.
- Jack Freeman

With the joy of music in his soul Michael Conner has left his mark on the world. He has left us but the music lives on. I cant tell you how many hours of enjoyment Ive had listening to PPL. I cant think of a better legacy to leave. Peaceful journeys Michael.
- Ken Mixon

I'm so sad to hear of Michael's passing, even a few years after the fact. As I write this I am listening to the "Two Lane Highway" CD and gazing upon the band photo in the liner notes... Michael appears to be a kind soul, and he was certainly a talented musician who brought joy to many PPL listeners. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family and loved ones. Rest in peace, amigo.
- H Bryson

How shocking to hear of an early passing. We all feel ten feet tall and bullet proof until we get the maturity of age.
- Charlie Keen

Just found out while perusing the PPL website that Michael Connor passed away a few years ago. Always enjoyed his keyboard work, a very talented musician he was. My prayers go out to his wife and family.

......somewhere in southwest texas are the braincells I laid into the concrete built in backyard bunker (or was it a grave?) whilst listening attentively to Bustin' Out and watching the goats escape into the scruboak of Hill Country near San Geronimo/ Helotes/// One night, after closing time, screaming down Austin Highway and having nothing else worth listening to on I tuned over to KBUC and heard, probibly for the first time for any "young prog cuntry" band, the opening chords/licks of Two Lane Highway...this, in itself is easy to dig, as PPL by then had a serious following in Texas, young, old dead, alive and/or Unborn...but What Made It Seriously Significant is/were the 2 mating skunks that I came upon and damn near rolled into while chasing after that blonde in the Red VW SoopaBeetle... Love is ever Alive with the Spirit of One who gave so freely...Such sounds...guitars that literally tore the roof off.

Well, Dirty; Another year gone by, and I miss you more than ever. Found the fried chicken bones at the cemetery; looks like you liked it! Keep a seat warm for me 'til I get there; we'll play a tune & eat some Q. Soon, old pal. Mr. Dirt

I never knew Mike, but from what I read here I can tell he was an important force in the band and an all around good guy - not always common in the music business. I recall see PPL in 1976 in Manhattan, KS and Jon Call sat on the edge of the stage and talked to fans for an hour after the show. I was in awe of famous musicians who were so accessible to a 16 year old. If Mike was anything like other members of the band - and it sounds like he was the world is missing a great person and musician. Two things the world could use more of. I know he is in a better place and jamming with other players and waiting for the time when his buddies show up. Who knows, maybe someday I'll be lucky enough to get to jam with him too.
- Matt Dollar

I never got to see you play live, but your music and your lyrics made me a singer and a song writer. with all my heart and all my thanks, god's speed.
- Jim McCue

Heidi, my ex husband Gary Barnett was PPL's monitor man for many years with the Audio One crew from Elyria, OH. My ex and I still remain very close friends, so Gary contacted me immediately to advise me of Michael's passing. The Man Above only takes the very best, and all I can do is send you my heartfelt condolences as I know how hard it must be. Michael was truly one of a kind. He never failed to give me a big hug every time I showed up at the gigs, and ALWAYS played "Last Date" on the piano when I walked in the room as he knew my passion for Floyd Cramer. I recall being at one of the performances in California, PA and during a lull between songs, he rolled right into "Last Date", then turned to me on the side of the stage, cocked his head, and gave me that half-crooked little smile to let me know it was a gift to me. I still laugh remembering the vision of that "halo and horns" smirk of his! At the Pittsburgh Syria Mosque, he slapped an Access All Areas pass on my 12-year-old brother and allowed him to either sit on the side of the stage or prowl around backstage to snap at least 150 shots of himself and the band. Not one bit of conceit from that wonderful man. These reminders will live with me along with the last time I saw him in Kent, OH. There will never be a last gig, last dance, last date, or last goodbye...for those of us who knew him, Conway will live on in our hearts and in song. Godspeed.
- Nancy Barnett Miller

Michael, My Godfather, I barely knew you, i had met you (when i could remember) only twice but each time, you managed to concoct a smile on my face. My mother says hi Rest In Peace.
- Michael Christopher Conrad

Country Song: Can anyone tell me where I might find a download of PPL's Country Song. It is one of my all tome favorites and I just lost my hard drive that had Country Song on it! Thanks!
- Ken

Michael, You are truly loved and missed by all who knew you. From the moment we met at a gig at Kings Island Senior night in 75 we have never forgotten you, never will. A warm wonderful man....heaven is lucky.
- Helena

i had seen the band a few times in early 70's.1st gig at theil college in greenville ,pa was truly amazing. saw them a few years later in grove city,pa at grove city college my seat was on the side where you could see mike from the back,as he was playing the toe of his cowboy boot got stuck in between the foot pedals( on the baby grand i think he was playing at the time) got quite the kick out of that as he did also because he just cracked up.just fond memory of mike and the band.thanks for the memories mark

Hey "Conway" I know you found your spot on the "right" side of Heaven. You escaped before I had a chance to get you back one day for leaving me and Billy Hinds in that sleazy bar in Nashville (1979 maybe?), after the State Fair. Soon as you left, Hinds went to the bathroom and then he never came back. I hit the pavement and this blonde girl, who swore she was Parton's stepsister, took me home and molested me 'til daybreak. Fun daze. I never say goodbye anymore. I guess I'm not man enough to do it, even one more time. So many good people gone, it's made me weak to lose all that love. - Dusty (www.writesight.com/writers/misterwriter111)
- Dusty Nathan

God's Speed Michael, the world is a better place having you visit it.
- Howard

MICHAEL Will be missed by all his fans that were touched by his presence, including my four brothers and me,who couldnt wait for the annual family picnic,so we could set up a crankin p.a. and pump PPL thru it and harmonize in four part harmony!! great times! REST IN PEACE and keep it going up there!!!
- RICHIE BLAKELY

You guys are reminisite (is that spelled correctly ?)of the Byrds, Eagles, etc. and a time when the music industry actually produced MUSIC and awarded those who touched our emotions with that music. We don't have music today; Don McClean said it best in his American Pie song - the day the music died. Unforunately society lost its recognition of good quality REAL music. I miss it; but it's bands like Pure Prairie League (and others) who keep the magic rolling. Don't stop. Bring the music back.
- Moose at the Lake.

micheal will be missed by all who grew up listening to the pure praire league

I Am The Captain Of My Soul Out of the night that covers me, black as the pit from pole to pole. I thank whatever gods may be for my unconquerable soul. In the fell clutch of circumstance I have not winced nor cried aloud. Under the bludgeonings of chance my head is bloody, but unbowed. Beyond this place of wrath and tears, looms but the horror of the shade, and yet the menace of the years finds, and shall find me, unafraid. It matters not how strait the gate, how charged with punishments the scroll, I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soul. "Invictus," by William Earnest Henley
- Mark Thompson

MICHAEL was my first love...I knew him in grade school,,,we both had the early stages of the "LOVE" at a young age...my name is Jamee (sounds almost like Amie) Could someone tell me what happened ?
- jamee stratman

Just saw you guys at Gruene Hall--awesome show. You guys sounded great and I was so happy to hear the new songs as well as the old. Thanks for an amazing evening!!!
- Rudi and Carol

Thanks Mike. You and my step dad were best of friends growing up, and I wish I could have met you. Rest in peace.
- Adam

I didn't know Mike. I was a friend of Frank, his dad. I have a niece named Aimee and I always think of PPL "Aime". I am a member of Holy Cross Catholic Church where they attended.
- Bill Fay

Pure Prairie League is my favorite band, I wait to see here in my country Brasil his guys...and when you played Amie I´ll cry.
- Windson

I am so fond of your band! Have always been and always will be since I was named after your song, "Aime". I'm adopted but I've known my biological parents all my life and in fact, carry very close relationships with both. One of my fondest memories as a child was listening to my biological mother play her acoustic guitar and sing "Aime" to me... So I just wanted to say, "thank you" for such a wonderful song which created such wonderfully, valued memories for me as a child and now as an adult...something in which I will carry with me forever.
- Amy

well, im only 15 so i dont really know him, but i would really like for u guys to accept me to be your friend on myspace because my name is amie and my last name is connor, kinda weird, and i would like to add "amie" to my myspace please!!!
- Amie

His music has brought me alot of joy through the years. Amie is my favorite song. I wish his family and band the best in the coming years.
- Elizabeth Wyckoff

I just learned of Michael's passing on a chance visit to the web site. We were music buddies in Woodstock and later roommates in London when we were both touring around with bands. We were out of touch for many years but I'll never forget the good times we had raging around England ("con-man"). What a good and gentle soul! Hope to see you farther along ...
- Jimmy English

I just read that Mike had passed on. I was a bartender at the corner bar in Sag Harbor NY where the band used to hang when they came there. They were good friends with Jim Smyth the owner. I got to know him quite well and you just could not find a nicer guy. I am sure he will be missed by many- Peace- Paul
- Paul Gabbert

I am not a great follower of PPL,but "Amie"is quite fondly remembered.
- Ray Clark

Michael Connor is Pure Prairie League! I grew up in southern Ohio and remember the first time I sat around with friends in 1972 and heard "Tears" all the way through to "It's All on Me" for the first time and was so amazed that a bunch of guys from my hometown, Craig, JD and Coffe had made the big time. While it was the hometown boys that brought me to PPL it was Mike who was the one force that remained throughout their history. Fortunately I met Mike at a few shows and while I never had the opportunity to develop the relationship many have, he was indeed a very special person. To Heidi and all his family and friends, the best thing we can do to honor Mike is throw Pure Prairie League on the turntable or CD and oh yea "turn it up!" May you forever rest in peace Mike!
- Mike Patterson

What a wonder tribute to a wonderful guy... You are missed my man.
- Covington, KY

Hard to believe a year has past. Heidi, I hope all is well with you. I think Michael would have looked fondly on our gathering in Newport last year. My best to all who made it there.
- John Hovekamp

Friends; As we reflect on the fact that Michael Connor's passing is a year ago, we've all had time to ponder the fact that we all have our own time here to do what we do, and hopefully we do it with passion and enthusiasm. We honor Michael's memory by what we do and how we do it. He would feel loved and remembered by his friends and family. Heidi continued the celebration of Michael's life this week in Ireland, a special place for fond recollection and true spirit. You know he loved us all, as we loved him. God rest his Soul. Best regards, Mike Reilly

As a long time fan I recently downloaded a bunch of PPL stuff from iTunes. From there I went to the PPL website where I saw the sad. news about Michael's death. My condolences to family and friends. I discovered PPL as an undergrad at Providence College in the mid 70's. I fell immediately. Couldn't get enough. I saw the band one night in a small hall (gym?) at Brown University. It was an amazing show. I recall the band being called back again and again and again to do a number of encores and finally leaving a group of people who still wanted more. Michael was such a vibrant part of that show. I think the thing that led me to iTunes was a discussion I had with a friend this summer. We were talking about the best concerts we had ever seen. We have both been to a few. Was it Dylan? Van Morrison? The Band? The Stones McCartney? My choice was easy. Pure Prairie League at Brown University. Honest to god it was the best show I have EVER seen! I still remember leaving the hall with a smile on my face a mile wide. What a band. What a show. God bless Michael Connor and all who mourn him!
- Jack Gallagher

Michel, how can a year have passed already without your presious spirit. My heart is as broken today as it was the day you left.
- Jackie

As the anniversary of Mike's death approaches, I would like to express how much he is missed. I am so sorry for your loss especially, Heidi. His talent on the keyboard is missed by many. I knew Mike long ago. He was a funny, smiling, gentle spirit. His memorial brought back into my life some dear Kentucky friends . My prayers are with you.
- Barbara Lee Tenney

The Lords taken home his keyboard player cause there is none better than Mike Conner. I remember listening to many a PPL album and now the Discs fill my cd player. Thanks for your gifts my Brother and enjoy your riches above
- Ed Martin

I can't tell you how vivid I remember rollin down the road in the VW Bus.....off to see another PPL Show..Freezing ass the whole way there....Things always seemed to warm up when Michael hit those keys.....Gone too soon.....My Thoughts are still with ya Michael !!
- Steve Dorsey

So many of us have grown up with Mike's music. He was a fine musician, great human being, and a genuine joy to work with or listen to. I doubt we'll see his kind again. The world is a sadder place with Mike gone.
- Ed Devine

Michael could make those 88's sound GREAT! Thanks for being such a good person. I'm thankful to have met you and the rest of the guy's in PPL. I'll always cherish the gig's we did in Texas in the 70's. See you in the next world. LDH
- L Hopkins

I feel a little bit like Rip van Winkle, a literary denizen of the Catskill Mountains near Woodstock, NY, where I first met Michael many years ago. I assume because I was undergoing treatment for lung cancer, nobody in my family told me that Michael was struggling with anything, or that he had died. I am interested in being in contact with any of the "dogs" who could fill me in on what happened. I'm very sad-- I wish that I could have been helpful to him when we were both going through a terrible time. So far. I'm doing okay.Mike Riley, Bart or anyone please call me in Grosse Pointe. MI AMY
- Amy Bragg

Michael - Just a thanks for many great "inspirational"times watching and listening to you behind the keyboard. Your memory with me goes back to the early days in Cincinnati with "The Glass Wall". It will stay with me always. Simply, thank you.
- Mark Glevicky

Mike Connor what a great person, perfomer, and one of the greatest piano players I have ever heard. The Live Takin the Stage is my avorite all time album and i have over 5,000 in my collection. No one will ever forget the great muisc. Bob fmer
- Bob Bergeron

My son, Josh, 15 and a guitar player is discoving PPL who I enjoyed in the 70's and am enjoying again with him. Would you know what album "Green Grass and High Times" is on. Thanks for the thoughts!
- Jeannie Herford

In the '70's my brother, Chip, introduced me to PPL. Chip was a drummer with Cowboy, who happened to be on tour as the opening band with PPL at the time. Over the course of many wonderful years, I maintained a friendship with Reilly and Connor, and loved to watch the magic between the two of them. The depth of their friendship and frustrations with each other were grounded in true brotherly love, both dirtballs to the end!Connor you were a dear friend to me and always there to hold my hand and give your loving support on those days that Reilly made me crazy. I cherish the memories of our houseboat trip down the Wolf River and the laughter of getting stuck on the sandbar! Travelling with you guys was quite a journey and watching you one last time on that keyboard still makes me smile. Your free spirit was soaring that night for sure! I felt sad I missed the chance to say goodbye in person, and yet I know there is so such thing as 'goodbye'. We are all connected forever, and your smile is just beyond the horizon at the end of the two-lane highway! When I close my eyes I can see it there in the distance. Thanks for the memories. Love to you Heidi. I hope our paths cross again one day. Peace and blessings, Linda
- Linda Aileen Miller

Goodbye my friend. We started out at 14yrs old to build a best friendship that never changed. From playing music together to mastering the art of BBQ the memories will never fade.

I'm gonna miss you old buddy.Micheal was one of my best friends and I will miss playin' with him, fishin' with him and just shootin the shit which we did so well.Heidi I love ya darlin'.
- Tim Goshorn

PPL took me down a lot of highway miles for a lot of years. Timeless music from special folks. Michael, thanks for all the years of joy.
- Michael Brown

My sympathies to the family of Michael Conner. Michael and PPL was a way of life with my friends and myself in the 70's. The joy of that music has carried on to the present and continues to occupy my home and my head.I still try to play it. Mike will be sorely missed.
- Allen Martin

Busting Out along with Mike's keyboard genius, has brought immeasurable happiness into our lives. Thanks, Mike!
- Russ

Heidi, We're so sorry for your loss. Having only known you guys for the past year, you truely made an impression. You and Mike did a great job last February putting on our fishing club banquet. I've been a fan of PPL since my college days in the mid 70's. He was a very humble guy.I wish we could've gone fishing before he had to go. Just wanted you to know our thoughts are with you and we hope to see at the fishing club meetings.
- Rick Grassett

Just a fan who enjoyed his music. I wish his family, friends, and peers a special blessing and to Mike thanks for the top quality music over the years, I know the next life is getting a new lift to their magic band.
- Ricky Ross

addio, grande Michel.
- Danilo

I met Mike in the late seventies driving the PPL sound system truck in New York. Hell of a nice guy as I remember him. A real Music man and a real gentleman. John Call let me know Mike had passed and it was a real down day for me to hear it. Not that many like Mike left in this world. My condolences to his friends and family.
- Chuck Colburn

Happy birthday Michael Connor. Tonight I realized that the last time I would see you in life we hugged each other in the middle of where Caroline and 31st streets cross each other. Most people just think this is an intersection but it was our pitcher's mound. It was our hide and seek home base. It was where you used to lay in the curb like you just got hit by a car and when people would stop to see if you were hurt, you would jump up in the air, scare the hell out of them and run into the woods sreaming. I should have taken you in and had you looked at back in those days. Anyway ... love from the Foxes to The Nabe on the seventh !!
- Rick Fox

Michael, Every year I always call you on your birthday & sing "You dropped the bomb on me". I know how much you loved the thought of a bunch of "brothers" with cowboy hats & whistles, screaming "YOW" 25 times. You're the only person who understood my warped sense of humor, and always laughed when no one else got it. We communicated for so many years through music, friendship, good and bad times; Woodstock, England, and all over America, always sharing a laugh, a beverage and some BBQ, and an unspoken understanding of things much deeper than most people would ever know. Well, you dirtball, you surely dropped the bomb on me. I miss you. Happy birthday in Heaven! Your partner in grime, Dirty
- Mike Reilly

Michael, I always enjoyed your playing on the Pure Prairie League albums! May you brighten up the Angel Band forever! Regards, Ken Laing - The Kingston Trio Place http://www.singingmeadow.com/kingstontrioplace
- Ken Laing

Having been a big fan of PPL since day one, I was saddened to hear of Michael's death. However, his legacy will live on in the music he left us. Rest in Peace.
- David Wayne Vining

Heidi, I haven't been able to get into this part of the site until tonight. There's so much that I want to say but feel so helpless with the words. I would have been out for the celebration but at the last minute got stuck overseas on business. In the summer of 1978 I came into the Corner Bar to service the pinball machine and Michael was playing the game. He looked at me and said, "You're Bart. Jimmy says you're one of us." We played that stupid Atari Pin Ball machine for two hours and didn't say another word. Then he looked at me in the way that only Michael could. It was that look that bonded us. It was that look of understanding that drew me and so many of us in to him forever. That look told us all that this whole thing is just really a ride and he's there to make sure that no one takes themselves too seriously. Then the look rolled into that wry half smile, half grin that took me with him for the next 15 years. It took Jimmy and me and Hovekamp and Michael and so many of us all to the weirdest places; Like Stuart and Amy's apartment, and that ridiculous affectatious restaurant where Stuie tended bar and we drove the Maitre D' nuts and Michael hit on Diana Ross. It took us to Sarasota and your Dad's restaurant. It took us to Key West and Nassau on Ice Nine, Bobber. It even took us from Michigan to Fort Lauderdale down the Tenn-Tom on Jack's trawler. Michael taught me that barbecue is a noun...and then taught me where to find it and how to make it. And then, somewhere along the way, I started to take myself too seriously. And then I didn't see Michael for five years. And along the way I felt somthign really missing and empty. And then the band came together again and the guys came to Mohegan Sun, my local casino. I took Linda, my wife with trepedation about my reception. The show ended. We went backstage and there was Michael. And he looked at me with that same look that I'd seen 22 years earlier, but this time it said, "It's all still the same, as long as you just let it all go." And I knew that we'd be ok for the rest of it. When Jimmy told me that you two had married I knew that you'd both found what you were looking for. I also realized that it had always been there for both of you. And now, I wish I could wipe the pain from your heart but I know that I can't. All I can say is that I loved Michael dearly. He's taken a piece of all of us with him and this whole thing is just way too serious. So I guess the only thing I can do is remember Michael's look every time I start to take myself too seriously. In fact I'm remembering it now. Thank you, Heidi, for letting us share your grief to ease our own. Fondly, "Black" Bart
- Bart Gullong

As a fellow musician I know what it's like to loose a friend and a part of your music family. You have been apart of my life since the beginning of your music. Mike was and still is a inspiration to all us musicians that put out there best effort to please others. Now he gets to play for the MAIN MAN. How Awesome that must be.. Thanks Mike and God Bless to you and everyone else you have touched. Big Daddy Karl from Free Reign Blues Band Seattle, Wa.

Frank is gone, Sis is gone and now Michael. Our world will never be the same without them. But, they gave us all so much. Heidi we are so happy that Michael had you and your family as his own. Over the last few weeks it has been good to see all of the true expressions of love for Michael's kind spirit! He was truly an original. Thank you Heidi for being there for and with Michael. (as the Nabe we expect Christmas Cookies)
- victoria fox

I have been fairly speechless since this happened but have decided the best way to pay tribute to Michael is to recount his favorite story he made me tell countless times over the years. I was on tour as David Bowie's keyboardist and one night after a show, our tour manager noticed I was in my boxers and we had some press coming on the bus. "You might want to put some pants on" he said. I told him if Frank Connor could wear his boxers in public so could I. The next week it was David who was getting ready to get caught in his underwear. When the tour manager warned him, David surprised us all by saying, "Hey if this works for Frank Connor it works for me." When the tour manager said "Fine with me" and let the press on, David looked at me as the bus doors opened and said, "Exactly who is Frank Connor?" I love you Michael Connor. It will never be as fun as when we had you. Thanks for teaching me how to play and sharing parents with me. Oh and here is Michaels amazing recipe for chip dip. He shared this secret recipe with me when I was eight years old and he was ten. Forgive me Michael for giving it away after all these years but it is time for others to enjoy. Philadelphia cream cheese, onions, and milk. You know what to do. Heidi, we love you and will always be there, still with Michael and still with you.
- Rick Fox

Heidi, I wish I could be down there in Kentucky to join the celebration of Michael's life with you all. From the times I spoke with Michael he seemed like a truly special person. My thoughts are with you.
- Chris Ryback

Heidi, I am so, so sorry to hear the news of Michael's death. He was a lovely man and I was glad to have known him. You and Chris remain in my thoughts...
- Martha Holland

Michael was always a true free spirit - on the keyboards and in life. We are going to miss him. Heidi, our thoughts are with you.

Have dreamed of a reunion for years listened to the double live today driving a 18 wheeler back from Montana, unaware of Mr. Connor's passing. The double live album is in my personal top ten of altime favorite albums. Grew up in Austin during the 60's and 70's and bussed dishes at the Armadillo and have the PPL ticket stub from there. Grat Band and a great player. I'm very very sorry for your loss and so are my ears...
- Jim Cazier

Began listening to PPL in college in 1972. Have there greatest hits in my car CD player today. That's a long time. Wonderful Band, wonderful memories. Deepest sympathy to Michael and his family.
