PPL WANTS YOU ! 2010 TOUR

Hey Gang,

Well, the guys have already played a number of shows this year to the usual stellar reviews.The summer really gets it going. There's quite a few shows coming up in July and August and maybe more to follow.

For a band that was going to wrap it up after last year they seem to be doing quite well !

If you haven't gotten the chance to catch these legends in the past years, maybe this year is the one. A super lineup as I mentioned under the current line up thread, with a legacy of tunes from the most critically acclaimed releases in country rock history.

Come hear the tunes from some of the classic releases like the debut LP, Bustin' Out, Two Lane Highway, Firin' Up, Can't Hold Back, All In Good Time along with a few surprises thrown in.

Hopefully some of us will meet up on the tour. Remember, we keep it going !!

Tom-I am really bummed!!! It appears the show in Northampton MA at the Iron Horse has been cancelled and moved to Oct. 3rd. I hope everyone is feeling O.K.! Any news on what happened to this particular show? I guess I will have to wait a few months to see this great lineup. This is the 2nd postponement at this venue!!

I heard about it the day before. I knew you'd be a bit burned up.Yes, all band members are doing OK in fact they are doing unbelievably well ( you'll see first hand ). All I know is that it wasn't on the band's end. The venue was responsible, I forget the exact reason. At least it was rescheduled. It will be worth your wait, for sure !

Keep checking the Tour page , a few more shows have been added. There are some shows in Oct and Nov, more to follow.

How's this for good news ? There are shows being booked for 2011 !!!

The notheast has always been very loyal to PPL, and the band is well aware of it !!!

If they tour, they will always hit the northest, no doubt. They've got quite a few shows in the NE this year and I can't picture that changing next year.

Over the last 6-7 years, PPL has managed to spread the shows out all over the country in an effort to give everyone some chance to get to a show.

Considering the economic times, the state of the industry in general (venues, opportunities to play etc.) PPL has done very, very well.

The trick is also to find a venue that will do right by the band, make it worthwhile for them to lug their gear all over the country. I know I get exhausted just thinking about some of the trips they have made, the difficulties they have overcome just to get to the concerts.

But they do it, and it's obvious they still have a very faithful following ! That's what keeps them going. The last show I saw on 07/01/10 in CT, was a perfect example:not a seat to be had, fans of all ages, an enthusiasm from both the stage and the fans that left us feeling like it was still the 70's !!


Hopefully there will be even more shows this year. I would really personally love to get in a few more, I'm in for at least one more in Bayshore NY, but after the time my wife and I had at CT., we'd really like to see about getting on the road to a few others, hopefully we can make that happen. It's so enjoyable, so revitalizing, especially when our "kids" in their mid 20's take in a show. We couldn't take our granddaughter , 10 yrs old, to the casino, but she must be christened soon ! I'll have to make that happen. She already sings a few PPL tunes, including Amie. You can never start them too young.

Hi guys,

Don't forget to keep checking the tour page, a few more have been added.

Right after my last post I noticed a show was added in Wayne NJ, Dan Williams XXVIL , maybe one more for you, and maybe even me, I'm going to try ! I think the link isn't set up yet at least when I tried it. The site didn't have tickets on sale yet when I checked it.

I hope to see at least one show. The Luke picture is the best, quite creative. PPL should use it on the main page of the Tour, it's too good ! Suitable for framing.
